With over 30 years of experience, Jon Gress literally grew up in the real estate development business.

 

As a teen, Jon spent his summers working in his family's development business, learning every aspect of

commercial/industrial construction.  By the age of 17, Jon was licensed as a Florida Real Estate Agent and by 18 became a Licensed Commercial/Industrial Real Estate Broker, while still attending classes at Florida State University.  At 21, Jon became the Principle Broker for Southern Management & Investment Corp where he was responsible for financial analysis of all properties acquired for partnerships in the Southeastern U.S.

 

In 1988, Jon formed his own commercial/industrial brokerage company, South Florida Commercial Realty, where he was responsible for leasing & management of over 2.5 million Sq. Ft. of commercial, industrial & retail real estate for over 15 different partnerships with clients & tenants.  Just ten years later Jon stepped into the owner/developer arena and created Gress Development Corp which rezoned and developed 47,000 Sq. Ft. of retail shopping centers on one of the busiest highway intersections in the country - The Gateway Commercial Center.

 

On top of everything else Jon has done, he has numerous other accomplishments including completing Series 7 securities underwriting training, has been a State of Florida Licensed Mortgage Broker, State of Florida Licensed Insurance Broker, member of the National Association of Realtors, The Industrial Association of Dade County, committee member of the Miami Board of Realtors, founding member of the Miami-Dade County Information, Communications & Entertainment Technology Coalition.

 

Jon has been at the forefront of digital business and media technologies since their beginnings and looks forward to using that knowledge and skill in new ways now that he’s with CynerGreen Hospitality & Development.
